This webinar will allow participants to learn from one faculty members' experience with rapidly-expanding community-engaged research and partnerships focused on substance abuse, including successes and critical lessons learned. Participants will leave with techniques to increase their success in building partnerships and securing funding for substance use prevention and intervention efforts. This presentation is sponsored by the Substance Use Disorder SIG. 

Identify current opportunities for pharmacy faculty to engage and partner in substance use prevention and intervention research as well as ways to learn about upcoming research opportunities. 
Describe techniques that pharmacy faculty can use to successfully engage with community members and community agencies to identify shared research interests. 
Identify grant-writing techniques and considerations that will increase the success of community-engaged research.
