A record month for overdose deaths in Cuyahoga County? Wake Up podcast

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Opioid deaths have spiked again in Cuyahoga County.

Chris Quinn shares that May likely will go down as Cuyahoga County’s highest month of overdose deaths ever. So far, the county medical examiner says, 66 people are confirmed to have died of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine overdoses, which is one short of the one-month record in February 2017. With test results not in on a handful of additional suspected overdose deaths, the county very likely will surpass that.
