Brunswick School District enters Purdue Pharma bankruptcy case

BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- The Brunswick Board of Education on Monday (Aug. 17) authorized the school district’s participation in a bankruptcy filing by Purdue Pharma, makers of the opioid drug OxyContin.

District Treasurer Mark Pepera explained that the “proof of claim” and the engagement of the law firms of Brennan Manna and Diamond and Ennis Britton makes the Brunswick City Schools eligible for possible bankruptcy payouts.
