Cuyahoga County Council angered over lack of answers about opioid settlement money

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Council members fumed Wednesday over their inability to get answers from the administration of County Executive Armond Budish about plans for spending some of the money the county won in settlements with opioid manufacturers.

Trouble began at the start of the committee hearing. Operations Chief Brandy Carney failed to make a timely appearance, resulting in a 15-minute delay as the administration summoned budget director Walter Parfejewiec to answer questions on Carney’s behalf.
