Kids in crisis: the devastating toll of Ohio's opioid crisis in one elementary school

MINFORD, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — As students arrive at Minford Elementary School for classes, a staff member asks a question that affects the rest of their school day: "How do you feel?"

The answer leads to a series of strategies to help children as young as five years old deal with significant amounts of trauma school officials say cannot be ignored in Minford, a small, rural community roughly 14 miles north of the Ohio River.
