Letter to the Editor: Let county boards oversee opioid settlement funds

On behalf of the Advocacy Subcommittee of the Portage Substance Abuse Community Coalition, we would like to bring the community’s attention to our concern with the manner in which the State of Ohio plans to handle and divide the opioid settlement funds. We strongly believe that the funds should be sequestered and used only for substance abuse prevention and treatment.

It is critical that funding be tailored to meet the needs of each community.
