Local governments would get millions in Ohio opioid settlement

As state and local governments get closer to uniting in a high stakes effort to settle with the opioid industry, newly revealed documents shared with the Dayton Daily News give a glimpse of how a settlement could break down.
Gov. Mike DeWine and Attorney General Dave Yost are getting close to a deal with local governments to form a united front, dubbed One Ohio, for negotiating a massive settlement with the pharmaceutical industry over its role in the opioid crisis that has devastated the state.
