Opioid crisis lingers amid coronavirus


WARREN — As COVID-19 still lingers in the Mahoning Valley and across the globe, another epidemic continuing to hit hard is the opioid crisis and the overdose deaths that accompany it.

While many people were stuck at home during Ohio’s quarantine, there seems to have been an uptick in accidental overdoses, said April Caraway, executive director of the Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board.
