Ashley Rosser knows how it is.

She's been in recovery from drug addition for three years and has lost six childhood friends to overdoses.

She's seen the bad side, but she's been on the good side, too, and that's why she wants to help.

On Saturday at the House of the Lord on Diagonal Road in Akron, Rosser was handing out Narcan to individuals who want to recover and the families who watch their loved ones torn apart by addiction. She also offered advice and words of encouragement to people who can't see a bright future for an addicted loved one.
