University Hospitals hosting ‘Drug Take-Back Day’ Oct. 23

As part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, University Hospitals is providing the public with an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

Collection efforts will take place on Oct. 23.

“This initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issue,” said UH Chief Pharmacy Officer Champ Burgess.
